Thirteen spine centers that were opened or announced this year, beginning with the most recent:

October

Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty Group opened an eight-physician spine center with locations in Williamsburg and Newport News, Va.

Manitowoc, Wis.-based Holy Family Memorial Medical Center opened the HFM Spine Clinic.

Becker's reported that OrthoArkansas will open a spine center at its main office in Little Rock in January 2021.

Chillicothe, Ohio-based Adena Health Systems announced that its $70 million Adena Orthopedic and Spine Institute will open in summer 2021. 

August

The NorthShore Spine Center at Skokie (Ill.) Hospital opened as part of the NorthShore Orthopaedic & Spine Institute.

The new building housing the Steamboat Orthopaedic and Spine Institute and the Steamboat Surgery Center opened in Steamboat Springs, Colo.

SpineCare Long Island opened a third location in Holbrook, N.Y.

July

Birmingham-based OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports opened a clinic in Hoover.

June

North Platte, Neb.-based Great Plains Health opened its brain and spine center.

Douglas Maxey, MD, opened Allay Spine and Pain Management in McKinney, Texas.

March

Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, Minn., added a spine and interventional pain clinic.

February

The Wauwatosa-based Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin health network opened an orthopedic, sports and spine center.

San Antonio-based SASpine opened a clinic in Houston.
