Minneapolis-based M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center created a "T-suite" operating room configuration for neurosurgery procedures, local NBC affiliate KARE 11 reports.
The configuration has three separate operating rooms attached, with an MRI machine in the middle of all three. By having the MRI machine in the middle, the machine can be placed into any of the three rooms during a procedure.
Physicians currently use the room for neurosurgery and some oncological procedures.
