Virginia-based orthopedic practice joins VCU Health-affiliated physician group: 4 things to know
Written by Laura Dyrda | March 20, 2019 | Print | EmailColonial Orthopaedics, which includes 97 team members, is joining MCV Physicians, a large physician practice affiliated with Virginia Commonwealth University Health System, according to The Progress-Index.
Four things to know:
1. Physicians and surgeons of Colonial Orthopaedics provide total joint replacement, foot and ankle care, hand and upper extremity care, sports medicine and spine surgery.
2. Colonial Orthopaedics surgeons will continue to serve patients as part of MCV Physicians and will gain access to VCU Health's resources as an academic medical center.
3. MCV Physicians opened locations in several former Colonial Orthopaedics locations as of March 15, and the physician group now has more than 850 physicians.
4. Colonial Orthopaedics aims to continue providing community-based orthopedic care.
