Waimea-based North Hawaii Community Hospital will open a $2.5 million orthopedic and specialty care clinic in Waimea in March 2019, according to West Hawaii Today.
Here are four things to know:
1. The facility will feature six exam rooms, a casting room and X-ray imaging equipment.
2. NHCH is bringing in Island Orthopaedics and Aloha Wound Care, both based in Honolulu, to assist with the hospital's orthopedic trauma services.
3. The hospital's radiology department will remain on the NHCH main campus.
4. NHCH's other Waimea-based projects include the construction of a $2 million primary care clinic and a $25 million emergency room expansion.
