Phoenix orthopedic institute rebrands, welcomes 2 physicians: 5 takeaways

Dallas-based Steward Medical Group renamed Phoenix-based Hedley Orthopaedic Institute as the Steward Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center, according to AZ Business Magazine.

Here are five takeaways:

1. The orthopedic clinic is the official partner of the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury.

2. Steward Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center comprises three offices throughout the area, 14 physicians and six advanced practitioners.

3. More than 10,000 patients were treated in 2017 by Steward Orthopedic & Sports Medicine providers.

4. Thomas Carter, MD, and C. Dain Allred, MD, joined the renamed practice.

5. Dr. Carter is the head team physician for the Phoenix Suns while Dr. Allred serves as a Phoenix Sun team physician.
