Bethesda, Md.-based The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics named Richard Robinson COO.

"Since launching in 2013, we have remained focused on empowering the private practice model to deliver the highest quality personalized orthopedic care," said The Centers President Nicholas Grosso, MD. "Today, we are proud to be the largest orthopedic group in the country, and Richard will be instrumental in helping us explore new business opportunities and expand into underserved communities."

The Centers currently has locations in five states and includes more than 170 physicians. Thirty-six hospitals and 35 ASCs affiliate with the practice, covering all aspects of orthopedics.

Mr. Robinson has experience as region operations director for DaVita, where he was responsible for managing around 80 outpatient dialysis centers that generated $250 million in annual revenues. He also spent time as a senior manager at Frito-Lay where he combined sales operations for multi-state and multi-distribution locations.

"I'm thrilled to join such a dynamic healthcare organization that embraces an entrepreneurial spirit," said Mr. Robinson.
