Epic remained the most highly ranked EHR by physicians in 2012 and 2016, according to "Medscape EHR Report 2016: Physicians Rate Top EHRs."

Here are the top-rated EHRs this year compared to 2012.

2. Cerner: 10 percent
3. eClinicalWorks: 7 percent
4. NextGen: 5 percent
5. MEDITECH: 4 percent

1. Epic: 22 percent
2. Allscripts: 10 percent
3. Cerner: 9 percent
4. Centricity: 6 percent
5. eClinicalWorks: 6 percent
