1. Listen.

5. Set consequences if things don't change.
6. Work through all the company's processes when trying to improve the employees' behavior.
7. Don't poison the well by bad-mouthing the employee.
8. Manage your self-talk and give the employee a fair chance.
9. Be courageous.
