4 steps to take when dealing with negative online reviews

Practice Management

Bad reviews online can spell disaster for small businesses in today's hyper-connected world, however there are steps that businesses can take to use negative reviews to their advantage, according to a Small Business Trends report:

1. Respond to negative reviews online.
2. Offer a free coupon, discount or free service.
3. Make sure that you get positive reviews from all of your happy customers within seven to 10 days of someone doing business with you.
4. Give them the opportunity to give you a review on your website rather than a national review website.
