Former Cleveland Clinic exec named HOPCo COO

Practice Management

A second former Cleveland Clinic Florida executive is joining Healthcare Outcomes Performance Company, a musculoskeletal outcomes, service line and practice management company.

Osmel Delgado, who previously served as COO of Cleveland Clinic Florida, will take on the same role at HOPCo. He is the second Cleveland Clinic Florida executive to join the company in the last 12 months. Last year, Wael Barsoum, MD, left his post as CEO of Cleveland Clinic Florida to become president and chief transformation officer at HOPCo.

In his new role at HOPCo, Mr. Delgado is tasked with improving operational efficiencies and process redesign to further drive value-based musculoskeletal care. HOPCo has signed new partnerships in recent weeks, including one with the Center for Bone & Joint Surgery of the Palm Beaches in Royal Palm Beach, Fla. It also opened a specialty hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.., with Southeast Orthopedic Specialists and Ascension Florida.

Mr. Delgado has more than 18 years of experience in healthcare and executive leadership roles.
