Here are 11 hospitals, health systems and private practices expanding their spine and neurosurgery programs in March:

Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedics opened a new office in Doylestown Township, Pa.

Phoenix-based The CORE Institute opened a new Scottsdale, Ariz.-based clinic.

Glens Falls (N.Y.) Hospital opened a suite of surgical offices in early April. They'll offer orthopedics, general surgery and urology out of the offices.

Work on Concord (N.H.) Hospital's $56 million medical office building is progressing. Concord Orthopaedics is building a surgery center on the medical office building's main floor.

Baptist Health South Florida in South Miami broke ground on a wellness and medical center in Plantation, Fla. The center will have a spine care clinic.

Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente is building a three-story medical office building in Hesperia, Calif., which will offer orthopedics.

Newport Beach, Calif.-based Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian installed two advanced brain and spine suites.

Akron (Ohio) Children's Hospital opened the Mansfield (Ohio) Health Center March 26. The center specializes in orthopedics, gastroenterology and urology.

Birmingham-based OrthoAlabama Spine & Sports began construction on a 17,256-square-foot medical facility in Hoover, Ala., in early March.

Huntsville (Ala.) Hospital is building a $250 million, seven-story spine and orthopedic tower across from its main hospital.

Work on Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Avera Health's orthopedic hospital is progressing.
