The Association of American Medical Colleges unveiled its board of directors for the 2017 to 2018 term.
Chair: M. Roy Wilson, MD, Wayne State University in Detroit.
• Dr. Wilson has been the president of Wayne State University since 2013. He previously was the deputy director for strategic scientific planning and program coordination at the National Institutes of Health's National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities. He also previously served as Omaha, Neb.-based Creighton University's school of medicine dean and vice president for health sciences, among other positions.
Chair-elect: Lilly Marks, University of Colorado Denver
• Ms. Marks serves as vice president for health affairs at CU and Anschutz Medical Campus. She previously served as the senior associate dean for finance and administration at the school of medicine and as executive director of University Physicians.
