NuVasive 2019 revenue jumps 6% to $1.17B: 5 details

NuVasive reported preliminary fourth quarter and full year 2019 results, with revenue up around 6 percent for the entire year.

Five things to know:

1. Fourth quarter revenue hit around $310 million, an 8 percent increase over the same period last year. The company's U.S. spinal hardware revenue was up 8 percent and the U.S. surgical support revenue grew 3 percent in the fourth quarter.

2. International revenue for the fourth quarter was up 14 percent. For the full year, international revenue jumped 10 percent.

3. Full year 2019 revenue hit $1.17 billion, a 6 percent increase over 2018. The company's U.S. spinal hardware revenue was up 7 percent for the year, while the U.S. surgical support revenue was up 1 percent in 2019.

4. The company released preliminary results ahead of its CEO speaking at the J.P. Morgan Healthcare Conference on Jan. 15 and expects to release the full report in February.

5. The company has not yet released projected earnings for 2020.
