Fairlawn, Ohio-based Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center's foot and ankle team of Gordon Bennett, MD; Erin Dean, MD; and David Kay, MD, create implants and utilize new techniques to improve patient outcomes.

Drs. Bennett and Kay helped develop the Mini Maxlock Extreme Intraosseous Sliding Osteotomy Plate. The plate has been used in bunion surgeries for more than eight years.

The second generation of the plate was first used by surgeons at Crystal Clinic in October 2019 as well. The updated version reduces the size of the surgical incision.
