RTI Surgical received FDA 510(k) clearance for its Streamline MIS Spinal Fixation System on Dec. 2, reports Seeking Alpha.

Three insights:

1. Streamline is used to form a rigid construct in the thoracolumbar spine via a percutaneous or mini-open approach.

2. The system is designed to reduce cross-threading incidences and features polyaxial screws in several sizes.

3. Streamline provides a range of implants and instruments to help tailor treatment to specific patients.
