Oregon neurosurgical practice submits MIPS data through NuVasive's spine registry

Spinal Tech

CMS approved Merit-based Incentive Payment System reporting data for a neurosurgical practice submitted through NuVasive's SpineTRACK registry.

The registry submitted quality performance data on behalf of Medford-based Southern Oregon Neurosurgical & Spine Associates to MIPS and it was approved. The practice is eligible for positive adjustments of up to 7 percent to Medicare reimbursement in the 2020 payment year.

The SpineTRACK registry provides data collection solutions for individual healthcare providers and health systems. The registry was previously designated as a Qualified Clinical Data Registry through CMS and providers can now directly submit quality data to CMS.

Launched in 2011, the registry has data from more than 14,000 patients who have undergone spinal procedures, and it has supported 25 peer-reviewed papers.
