Orthopaedic Implant Company introduces intramedullary nail system

Spinal Tech

The Orthopaedic Implant Company launched its OIC Semi-Extended Instrumentation at the Orthopaedic Trauma Association 2018 Annual Meeting in Orlando, Oct. 17-20.

The OIC Semi-Extended Instrumentation is intended to be used with the OIC Tibial Nail as an alternative method for intramedullary nailing of the tibia. The system is designed to allow for less knee flexion during implantation in order to avoid fracture malreductions, misalignment and improve imaging.

"The complete system is supported by a single set of instrumentation, flattening the surgical technique learning curve across a multitude of fracture patterns requiring intramedullary fixation," said OIC President and CEO Itai Nemovicher.
