Here are five things to know about NuVasive CEO Greg Lucier.
1. Prior to his current role, Mr. Lucier served as CEO of Life Technologies. He led the company for 11 years and spearheaded the company's acquisition by Thermo Fisher Scientific for $15.6 billion.
2. Mr. Lucier served as president of medical information technology at GE Healthcare where he oversaw the network of medical electronic devices, digital imaging and clinical information systems.
3. During his time at GE, Mr. Lucier was promoted to serve as vice president of global services, the company's $2 billion healthcare services business.
4. Mr. Lucier serves on NuVasive's board of directors. He is also on the board of directors for Catalent and Invuity.
5. Mr. Lucier earned his masters of business administration degree from Boston-based Harvard Business School.
