Conventus Orthopaedics named Richard Mott to its board of directors, effective immediately.
Here are five notes:
1. A principal for Walkabout Consulting, Mr. Mott offers strategic counsel to medical technology and biotech firms' operating teams.
2. He also serves as chairman for Silk Road Medical, Relievant MedSystems and 480 Biomedical.
3. Mr. Mott was president, CEO and director of Kyphon, a company developing minimally invasive spinal therapies. He oversaw the company's acquisition by Medtronic in 2007.
4. He also previously served in executive positions at Wilson Greatbatch Technologies and Bristol-Myers Squibb Company.
5. Conventus Orthopaedics develops less invasive solutions to treat joint fractures.
