Pinnacle Spine Group received a new patent for in situ graft delivery to a fusion device.

Here are five key points:


1. Patent No. 9,649,203, Methods of Post-Filling an Intervertebral Implant, outlines the delivery of graft material to a spinal fusion device's internal chambers.


2. Pinnacle Spine brought the concept of delivering bone graft material in situ in an implanted device to the market.


3. The company wanted to fill the biologic void other spinal fusion systems leave by introducing a delivery method that accomplishes maximum graft contact with the adjacent vertebral endplates.


4. The company already possessed three other patents regarding its InFill fusion technology.


5. Pinnacle Spine also holds patents in Australia, Canada and Europe.
