Surgeons successfully completed the first cases with Huntley, Ill.-based Life Spine's PLATEAU-Ti Spacer System.
Here are five highlights:
1. A titanium interbody system, PLATEAU-Ti includes surface treatment OSSEO-LOC.
2. This surface treatment has 500 microns to 600 microns of porosity, allowing for bone growth.
3. Surgeons may use the system for PLIF procedures and TLIF procedures.
4. Life Spine will conduct a limited release of PLATEAU-Ti in the second quarter of 2016.
5. The company plans a full product release in late 2016.
