This week, Congress of the Chinese Association of Orthopedic Surgeons Meeting featured a presentation on Misonix's BoneScalpel.

Here are four takeaways:

 

1. Misonix is an international ultrasonic surgical device company that creates, manufactures and markets therapeutic ultrasonic instruments for spine surgery.

 

2. On May 20, Misonix participated in the Master Techniques in Spine Surgery Workshop at the PARTI Center, Huashan Hospital, Fudan University and Chengdu International Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. The North American Spine Society and CAOS planned the workshop.

 

3. Professor Feng Li, director of Tongii Hospital's orthopedic surgery department in Wuhan, China, gave a presentation on his experience with BoneScalpel. During his presentation, Professor Li said the device enhanced patient safety, reduced blood loss and facilitated great control during complex spine procedures.

 

4. NAS and CAOS' workshop hosted more than 100 Chinese surgeons who obtained hands-on advanced training using BoneScalpel.
