Spinal Tech

Nihon Kohden, a U.S.-market leader in medical instrumentation solutions, launched its Neuromaster MEE-2000A.

Here are five highlights:

1. The Neuromaster MEE-2000A is a highly individualized intraoperative monitoring system that allows clinicians to respond to the neurophysiological needs of any patient.

2. The system is available as a laptop or a desktop and the technology allows healthcare professionals to set patient-specific protocols and tailor monitoring parameters to ensure the highest level of flexibility and responsiveness in any operating room.

3. Neurophysiological monitoring is an essential technology for any surgery that could result in damage to the nervous system. Neuromonitoring is often used in spine, neurosurgery, vascular orthopedic and otalaryngologic surgeries, among others.

4. The Neuromaster MEE-2000A offers several modules for electrophysiology such as electroencephalography, electromyography and a variety of evoked potentials that can be configured according to surgical indication and patient need.

5. At the core of the technology is a transcranial stimulator, the TcMEPro Matrix Stim, which allows healthcare professionals to set patient-specific protocols within seconds by tailoring parameters such as duration and interstimulus interval.
