New MEDTECH robotic brain surgery systems coming to US — 4 observations

MEDTECH sold two new ROSA robotic surgery systems in the United States.

Here are four observations:

 

1. The sales went to Children's Hospital of Atlanta and Children's Hospital of Colorado.

 

2. Children's Hospital of Atlanta is the largest pediatric establishment in the nation, according to the 2013 figures of the public health information system. It treats approximately 2,500 patients in neurology and neurosurgery every year, twice the national average, and is rated among the 10 best American pediatric hospitals for the quality of its healthcare by the U.S. News and World Report.

 

3. Children's Hospital of Colorado is a private pediatric hospital and regional reference center for pediatric care, particularly for the treatment of epilepsy. This center is also rated among the 10 best American pediatric hospitals by the U.S. News and World Report.

 

4. Developed in 2007 by MEDTECH, ROSA is an innovative technological device devoted to brain surgery procedures, and has been approved in Europe, the United States, and Canada.
