4 things to know about Bio2 Technologies

Bio2 Technologies is an orthobiologics company.

Here are four things to know:

1. Bio2 Technologies' Vitrium, a resorbable orthobiologic material composed of bioactive glass.

2. The company will evaluate Vitrium as a structural device that facilitates bone remodeling through a gradual conversion from the device to the patient's own bone. Vitrium is designed to be porous, load-bearing, osteoconductive and bioactive.

3. The investigational device exemption clinical study will assess Vitrium as a cervical interbody fusion device.

4. Paul K. Nichols, Jr., is the company's president and CEO. He has 40 years of experience in the medical device industry, with30 years in the musculoskeletal sector.
