Denver Bronco Derek Wolfe to undergo stem cell treatment after diagnosis from Dr. Robert Watkins — 3 things to know

Denver Broncos defensive end Derek Wolfe will receive stem cell treatment for a neck injury, according to 247 Sports.

Here are three things to know:

 

1. Mr. Wolfe sprained his neck during the season, causing numbness in his face, arms and leg.

 

2. In early December, spine surgeon Robert Watkins, MD, diagnosed the football player with spinal stenosis during a consultation.

 

3. Dr. Watkins did not recommend surgery, but told him to not continue playing in the season.
