In 2019, EOS imaging launched its EOSedge musculoskeletal imaging system, which captures images in seconds with less radiation exposure than traditional X-rays and CT scans. It can reduce the amount of radiation patients are exposed to by 80%.
Here are four practices that have added the system since its introduction:
1. East Providence, R.I.-based University Orthopedics became the first practice in the state to add EOSedge in March.
2. In December, the Spine Center at the University of Texas Health San Antonio became the first facility in South Texas to add EOSedge.
3. In May, Hoag Spine Center in Newport Beach, Calif., became the first in Orange County to install the EOSedge system for spine imaging.
4. The University of Louisville (Ky.) Health System added EOSedge in May 2021.
