Dr. Robert Anderson performs ankle surgery on Houston Texans' Nick Martin: 4 thoughts

Robert Anderson, MD, performed season-ending ankle surgery on Houston Texans rookie center Nick Martin, according to the Houston Chronicle. 

Here's what you should know.

 

1. Mr. Martin sustained a high ankle sprain after a joint practice with the New Orleans Saints. He was drafted by the Texas in the 2016 NFL draft.

 

2. Dr. Anderson is a team doctor for the Carolina Panthers as well as an orthopedic surgeon at OrthoCarolina.

 

3. Dr. Anderson received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He had both an internship and his residency at Carolinas Medical College. He returned to the Medical College of Wisconsin for his fellowship.

 

4. He is a past President of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. He is a founding member of the Foot and Ankle Institute at OrthoCarolina. He has been named a top doctor by several state and national magazines.
