Brian L. Ratigan, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with South Bend Orthopedics in La Porte, Ind., performed surgery on University of Notre Dame cornerback Nick Watkins, according to UND News.
Here are three quick notes:
1. Mr. Watkins underwent surgery for a fractured left humerus.
2. Mr. Watkins will be sidelined for the remainder of spring drills, but will be able to participate in summer workouts.
3. Dr. Ratigan earned his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and completed his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. He also completed a sports medicine fellowship at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.
