New West Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Nebraska at Kearney extend partnership to help student athletes: 5 key notes

Kearney-based New West Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Surgery extended its partnership withUniversity of Nebraska at Kearney in a new five-year agreement, according to the antelope.

Here are five key notes:

 

1. In the agreement, New West Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Surgery will provide UNK Loper student athletes with more than $1 million in financial support and service.

 

2. The deal runs from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2020.

 

3. In the deal, New West will help fund student-athlete scholarships, support facility enhancement and help with positions in the athletic department.

 

4. New West has worked with Loper student-athletes and staff for more than 20 years.

 

5. Seven board-certified orthopedic surgeons and one certified sports medicine physician work at New West.
