Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute Surgeon Performed Hand Surgery on Jaguars' David Gerrard

A surgeon at the Jacksonville (Fla.) Orthopaedic Institute performed surgery on Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Gerrard, according to a company news release.

The surgeon performed a procedure to repair a fracture, disruption and ligament rupture in the third finger of Mr. Gerrard's right hand. The outpatient procedure took place at Baptist Orthopaedic Surgery Center in San Marco, Fla.

Mr. Gerrard is expected to have a full recovery after rehabilitation.
