Patrick F. O'Leary, MD, a spine surgeon and former chief of the spine service at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, has received a lifetime achievement award from the hospital. Dr. O'Leary has focused on evolving spine procedure techniques in his 35 years as a spine surgeon and specializes in surgical management of disorders of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, including revision surgery. He established a biomechanics fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery in 1991 and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, International College of Surgeons and American College of Surgeons.
