New Minimally Invasive Spine Institute at Rush Gets Assist From Basketball Legend Bill Walton

Chicago's Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush Minimally Invasive Spine Institute announced it will open its doors April 25, with a little help from a big name in basketball.
Bill Walton, NBA Hall of Fame basketball player and television announcer, will help launch the new spine institute April 25. Mr. Walton will discuss his chronic back problem history and how minimally invasive spine procedures have helped him cope.

Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush's Minimally Invasive Spine Institute will offer current minimally invasive procedures for patients with spinal disorders.

In addition to a Hall of Fame NBA career with the Portland Trailblazers, Los Angeles Clippers and Boston Celtics, Mr. Walton made a name for himself as an acclaimed center on John Wooden's unstoppable UCLA Bruins basketball squad in the early 1970s. He won three consecutive College Player of the Year awards, as well as two national titles playing for the Bruins.
