The Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery has appointed D. Greg Anderson, MD as the president of its board of directors.
Dr. Anderson is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon currently practicing at Rothman Institute based in Philadelphia. He is also an associate professor in the department of orthopedics at Thomas Jefferson University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Anderson received his medical degree from Loma Linda (Calif.) University. He completed an internship in general surgery and a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of California, Irvine in Orange, Calif.
Dr. Anderson served in the United States Air Force between his residency and spine fellowship. He has received numerous academic and military awards including the Commendation Medal from the United States Air Force.
