DePuy Mitek Awards $60k to PGA Tour Player Charities

DePuy Mitek has awarded $60,000 to charities for four PGA Tour players through the ORTHOVISC PGA Tour Player Charity Program, according to a DePuy news release. The company invited fans at PGA Tour events to vote for their favorite players and charities to receive the donation. The fans also learned about prevention and treatment of osteoarthritis. The players who received the most votes were John Daly, Jim Furyk, Stewart Cink and Jonathan Byrd.

The charities that received the donation include the Boys and Girls Club of River Valley (Ark.), Jim and Tabitha Furyk Foundation to help families and children in need, The Healing Place to provide grief support and Jim Byrd Memorial to hold fundraising events for local charities.

ORTHOVISC is an ultra-pure hyaluronan injection that provides knee pain relief for up to six months.
