AJRR reaches new milestone with 500k+ procedures in system: 4 things to know

The American Joint Replacement Registry has more than 500,000 hip and knee replacement procedures in its system.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. Nonprofit AJJR works to improve patient outcomes through collecting data on primary and revision hip and knee replacement procedures.

 

2. The organization set a goal of having 90 percent of hip and knee replacement procedures performed in the United States in its systems.

 

3. Each week, AJRR adds 4,000 new procedures, on average.

 

4. More than 790 hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and private practice groups participate in its system.
