Here are eight orthopedic surgeons making headlines this week.

Kent Ellington, MD, spoke to Becker's about OrthoCarolina's first total talus replacement with a 3D-printed implant, which he performed.

Azalea Orthopedics in Tyler, Texas, added Gary Goodfried, MD, who specializes in total joint replacement and reconstruction of the hip and knee.

Michael LeGeyt, MD, former chief of orthopedic surgery at the Hospital of Central Connecticut's New Britain General Campus, joined Exeter, N.H.-based Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics. 

Glendive (Mont.) Medical Center onboarded its second orthopedic surgeon Mark Rangitsch, MD, who specializes in orthopedic trauma and served in the U.S. Army Reserve for more than 10 years.

Bloomington, Ill.-based Shaun Kink, MD, was arrested as part of a sexual assault and abuse investigation involving an adult victim. Dr. Kink was released on bail and had his local hospital privileges suspended.

Bradford Waddell, MD, who focuses on treating arthritic conditions of the hip and knee, joined ​​​​OrthoAtlanta's team of more than three dozen physicians across 13 offices.

Antoine Tohmeh, MD, of Tacoma, Wash.-based MultiCare, is pioneering three-level lateral fusions using the prone transpsoas surgery method. The first 25 cases are pending publishing for peer review.

NanoFUSE Biologics appointed Answorth Allen, MD, an attending orthopedic surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, to its scientific advisory board.
