HSS surgeon Dr. Bradford Waddell named chair of committee to connect young arthroplasty surgeons: 3 things to know

New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery hip and knee surgeon Bradford Waddell, MD, has been named chair of the Young Arthroplasty Group Committee in the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.

Here are three things to know:

1. The YAG Committee aims to connect arthroplasty surgeons with less than five years of practice to promote collaboration and activity within AAHKS, whose mission is to advance hip and knee care.

2. Dr. Waddell has been a member of AAHKS since 2014 and began his term as chair on June 1, 2018. He previously served as a Health Policy Fellow for AAHKS and worked to bring younger surgeons into the organization.

3. According to Dr. Waddell, 250 surgeons have joined the YAG Committee to date.
