Surgical Affiliates and Regional Medical Center of San Jose (Calif.) partnered to enhance care and expand surgical services.
Here are three things to know.
1. Surgical Affiliates is a provider of emergency surgical services to hospitals and health systems; Regional Medical Center of San Jose is a level II trauma center.
2. Through the partnership, Regional Medical Center will gain access to Surgical Affiliates' around-the-clock surgery services.
3. Surgical Affiliates provides specialty surgical solutions for hospitals who need additional support for acute care, trauma, orthopedic and neurosurgery patients.
"We are excited about the management expertise, extra surgical skill and depth Surgical Affiliates brings to our hospital," said Regional's Medical Director of Trauma Richard Kline, MD. "The partnership enhances the quality of care our surgeons provide to trauma and emergency department patients in our community."
