Wilmington, N.C.-based New Hanover Regional Medical Center Orthopedic Hospital purchased the GE Caring MR Suite, according to WECT.
Here are five notes:
1. The suite allows patients undergoing MRIs to create a personalized experience.
2. Patients choose a preferred visual theme, light color and music.
3. The suite is equipped with high-definition nature visualizations and surround-sound speakers.
4. The MRI machine also has a large entry area, so patients won't feel as claustrophobic. Patients' feet enter first, instead of their heads.
5. The idea is that patients will be more comfortable, resulting in fewer failed scans and movements.
