5 mHealth considerations when building a healthcare facility

Practice Management

Make sure to account for mHealth when constructing or renovation a healthcare facility, according to mHealth Intelligence.

Here are five considerations:

1. Ensure the facility will have more than enough power outlets. These days, everything needs a plug-in, so don't skimp.

2. Ramp up security, making sure you possess the ability to lock everything, from physical objects to network data.

3. Prepare for wireless and wired devices. Make sure wireless devices work in the ER, OR and any random hallway.

4. Don't tangle up clinical and non-clinical functions. Guarantee the clinical application won't cross the back-end services.

5. Overdo it with power, making sure all facility areas can generate the appropriate power and heat for all devices.
