OrthoIndy gives YMCA a $3M donation — 5 highlights

OrthoIndy Foundation agreed to donate $3 million to the YMCA, according to Indianapolis Business Journal.

Here are five highlights:

 

1. YMCA will use the donation toward the facility's construction on Indianapolis' northwest side.

 

2. The new facility, named the OrthoIndy Foundation YMCA, costs $10 million.

 

3. YMCA's mission to serve veterans and the public resonated with OrthoIndy, and spurred their decision to donate.

 

4. The 45,000-square-foot facility will allot 5,000 square feet for veterans.

 

5. YMCA has raised the remaining $7 million for the facility and architectural planning is underway.
