Cayenne Medical Launches AperFix II for Knee Repairs

Spinal Tech

Cayenne Medical, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based sports medicine device company, has launched AperFix II, the second generation of its soft tissue repair device for multi-ligament knee repairs, according to a company news release.

AperFix II includes the cannulated tibial system, which is designed to increase the ease-of-insertion and standardizes the positioning of the implant. The system allows for rotation of the tendons during ACL repair to match the positioning of the native ACL bundles.

The system includes the tibial implant made from PEEK polymer, a tendon expander, guide wire, cannulated screw and a driver preloaded with tibial sheaths and a sheath holder.
