Medicrea's 2016 annual results — 6% sales growth & more

France-based The Medicrea Group reported on its successful and exciting 2016.

Here's what you need to know:

 

1. The company reported 6 percent sales growth from $29.7 million in 2015 to $31.41 million in 2016.

 

2. Sales of the UNiD Patient-Specific Rods were up 106 percent in 2016, with over 1,100 procedures carried out during the year.

 

3. The company continued developing titanium 3D printing manufacturing processes for patient-specific interbody cages and corpectomy implants and expects to market the products in the U.S. and Europe in 2017.

 

4. Medicrea relocated its manufacturing facility, research and development center and the French direct sales and administrative support functions from La Rochelle to a new facility in Lyon.

 

5. Medicrea President and CEO Denys Sournac said the company "[Combines] health-related IT technologies with the design and manufacture of next generation medical devices, and by prioritizing clinical outcome from a unique standpoint: improving the benefits of surgery for patients, and providing unrivaled operating comfort for surgeons."
