Spinal Tech

Danbury (Conn.) Orthopedics' physicians are the first in Connecticut to perform advanced joint replacement procedures using MAKOplasty, a robotic surgical treatment option.

Robert Deveney, MD, performed the MAKOplasty procedure in September, and John Dunleavy, MD, his colleague will perform the procedure in the fall. MAKOplasty technology has been used successfully in other parts of the country in the last few years.

MAKOplasty is a treatment option for patients needing total hip or partial knee replacement due to degenerative joint disease.
