Dr. James Andrews performs knee surgery on 76er Tony Wroten

James Andrews, MD, founder of the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Fla., performed knee surgery on Philadelphia 76ers guard Tony Wroten, according to an SB Nation report.

Mr. Wroten had a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and sought Dr. Andrews’ expertise for care. Dr. Andrews has treated several high-profile and professional athletes over the past few decades, including Michael Jordan and Brett Favre.

 

Mr. Wroten is expected to sit out the rest of the season to recover from the procedure.
