Methodist Sports Medicine acquires bone & joint clinic: 5 insights

Indianapolis-based Methodist Sports Medicine acquired Bloomington (Ind.) Bone & Joint Clinic, according to Inside Indiana Business.

Here are five insights:


1. The merged clinic Methodist Sports Medicine Bloomington is set to open in April. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.


2. Methodist Sports Medicine CEO Marty Rosenberg told Inside Indiana Business he does not expect any job reduction due to the acquisition. The bone and joint clinic currently employs 20 people.


3. The sports medicine company plans to invest $250,000 in various technology upgrades within the acquired clinic.


4. Bloomington Bone & Joint Clinic and Methodist Sports Medicine have worked together for more than 30 years.


5. Earlier this month, Methodist Sports Medicine was named the official sports medicine provider of Grand Park in Westfield, Ind.
