Dr. Owens will serve as division chief of sports medicine for the department of orthopedics at Lifespan and the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, both based in Providence, R.I., while Dr. Antoci will serve as division chief of arthroplasty of the department of orthopedics at Lifespan and the medical school, according to a July 1 news release.
Dr. Antoci and Dr. Owens will assume the roles previously held by John Froelich, MD, and Paul Fadale, MD, respectively. Dr. Froelich and Dr. Fadale will both continue to see patients at University Orthopedics.
Dr. Owens is a pediatric and adult orthopedic sports medicine surgeon who specializes in arthroscopic repair of sports-related injuries and complex knee and shoulder reconstructions.
Dr. Antoci specializes in adult reconstruction and hip and knee joint replacement surgery.
