Here are seven hospitals opening spine centers since July 1.
1. Northwell Phelps Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., opened Neurosurgery & Spine at Phelps. The 2,600-square-foot facility is on the hospital’s campus and is dedicated to spine surgery and neurosurgery. It has four exam rooms and was opened to address increased demand for specialized neurosurgical care.
2. UNC Health Pardee is set to open Pardee NeuroSpine Associates, a specialized spine practice in Brevard, N.C. The practice will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the spinal cord and peripheral nerves.
3. Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, Texas, opened Advanced Spine Care at Titus.
4. Indianapolis-based Ascension St. Vincent cut the ribbon on the Lucas Family Brain and Spine Hospital. The hospital will be a regional hub for brain and spine care and has 38 specialized ICU rooms, eight operating suites and advanced labs.
5. Salt Lake City-based University of Utah Health opened Spine Care at Arapeen, a clinic focused on treating back, neck and spine conditions.
6. St. Catherine of Siena Hospital in Smithtown, N.Y., opened its Center for Spine and Orthopedics. Five spine surgeons and physiatrists with Commack, N.Y.-based Long Island Spine Specialists will see patients at the hospital’s spine center.
7. Long Beach (Calif.) Medical Center launched a new Back & Neck Health Center, and Andrew Hanna, DO, is medical director of the new facility.
