UNC Health to open Pardee NeuroSpine Associates

UNC Health Pardee is set to open Pardee NeuroSpine Associates, a specialized spine practice in Brevard, N.C.

The practice will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the spinal cord and peripheral nerves, according to a July 10 news release from UNCA Health Pardee. 

Neurosurgeons Matthew Brown, MD, and Kelsey Walsh, MD, will lead the practice. 

Surgical procedures including disc replacement, anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, Sacroiliac joint fusion, spinal fusion, peripheral nerve surgery, revision spinal surgery, spinal decompression/laminectomy and minimally invasive, robotic spinal surgery will be performed at the practice. 

The nonprofit healthcare organization is also planning another location in Asheville, N.C., in August, the release said.
